Meet the Team

Danielle Martin

Occupational Therapist

Danielle qualified in 2013. Since qualifying she has worked with children both in the community and within the school environment. She knew very early on in her training that she wanted to work with children. She was lucky enough to get her second year placement with the NHS Children’s Integrated Disability Service and once qualifying got a job there.

INTERESTING FACTS

If you could travel back to one specific point in time, when would it be and why?

I would probably go back to the 1980s – no mobile phones, only 5 channels on the TV, lots of playing outside and great music!

What’s your favourite time of year and why?

Summer! It can never be too hot!

What is the best part of your job?

The best part of my job is working with and meeting such a variety of different people. I feel so lucky to have such a fun job that allows me to think outside the box.

What makes you happy?

My family, my horses and my dogs.

What are your Hobbies and Interests?

I have 4 horses – Dougal, Lottie, Indie and Eddy. I feel so fortunate to have them in my life and honoured that they allow me in theirs. I cannot put into words the emotional connection I have with them. Any spare moment I have this is where you’ll find me.
