Meet the Team
Zoya chose to become an Occupational Therapist because she has always had a desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Supporting individuals to develop independence, confidence and a sense of achievement is what truly motivates her. She has always felt particularly drawn to working with children and young people, as early support can positively shape their future in lasting ways. Seeing a child overcome challenges is incredibly rewarding and continually reinforces why she chose this profession.
During her placements at university, she has gained valuable experiences across a range of settings, including working with children and young people with eating disorders. This role strengthened her understanding of the complex emotional, physical and psychological needs within this area. It has also deepened her passion for supporting young people through vulnerable phases in their lives. Alongside this, her experience in acute hospital care and community settings enhanced her clinical reasoning, adaptability and ability to deliver thoughtful, person-centred interventions within the realities of different service settings.
Zoya’s strengths include building warm, trusting relationships with children, young people and their families. They tend to feel at ease with her quickly, which she believes reflects her calm, friendly and compassionate approach. She strives to create a safe and supportive environment where they feel heard, valued and understood.
Zoya is proud to be part of Links Therapy Company, where she can combine her passion for working with children and young people with a role that supports both her professional and personal development.
